Support Your Community Theatre
Theatre of Dare has been providing quality family entertainment on the Outer Banks for more than 30 years. Not only do our productions delight audiences, they provide a creative outlet for the many talented actors, musicians and technicians in our area and enhance the vibrant cultural fabric of our community. Participating in community theatre builds confidence and expertise, and we consider theatre an exciting and valuable learning experience open to everyone. From actors and directors to lighting designers and stage managers, we rely on volunteers to stage our productions. But there are many expenses that go along with first-rate theatre: show rights, scripts, costumes, building materials, lighting and sound equipment, printing and publicity to mention a few.
And that's where you come in. In addition to the nuts and bolts of our theatrical operations, your investment in Theatre of Dare will assist us to expand our reach to volunteers and audience members throughout the region. Right now, 500 culturally aware people visit our website each month, 1,800 arts supporters subscribe to our monthly newsletter, 5,000 theatergoers peruse our playbills when they attend our performances and 4,000 people follow our Facebook page.
As these numbers continue to grow, we hope you'll join us as we work to take Theatre of Dare to the next level. See below for the various ways you can support live, local community theatre on North Carolina's Outer Banks!
